On March 17–18, 2026, we participated in LABS EXPO, held in Poznań, Poland.

LABS EXPO brings together laboratory equipment and technologies from a wide range of fields, including analytical science, healthcare, industry, food, chemistry, biotechnology, environmental science, and quality control.
More than 100 companies exhibited at this year’s event, which was held at the Poznań Congress Center. Located within the Poznań International Fair (MTP)—one of the largest exhibition venues in Poland—the site was so spacious that we actually got lost on the first day.
As we walked through the exhibition hall, we found an impressive variety of professional equipment on display, including analytical instruments, measuring devices, refrigeration equipment, and laboratory facilities and supplies. Many booths featured hands-on demonstrations, such as grip-strength measurement devices and thermal imaging cameras, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere throughout the venue.
One of the biggest surprises was the Polish Police booth, where visitors could experience fingerprint collection and see examples of materials used in forensic investigations, including controlled substances, insects, and firearms.
Another thing that stood out was the atmosphere on the exhibition floor. Unlike many trade shows, exhibitors were generally not aggressively calling out to visitors. Instead, attendees actively approached booths that interested them and started conversations on their own.
The hands-on booths were especially popular. Visitors would stop to try the equipment, talk with staff, and gain a deeper understanding of the products through direct experience. These booths remained busy throughout the two-day event.
Our booth welcomed many visitors as well. Some stopped by simply to say hello because they were already using systems provided by our distributor, ACHEM, while others came to learn more about our products and monitoring solutions. It was a great opportunity to connect with both existing and potential users.
During the exhibition, we also had the opportunity to visit the forensic laboratory of the Poznań Police, which adopted T&D data loggers after visiting our booth at last year’s exhibition. The tour was organized by the exhibition organizers and included around 20 participants, mainly from companies whose products are used by the police.
At the laboratory, nearly 50 TR-71nw/72nw data loggers are used to monitor temperatures in refrigerators, freezers, and laboratory rooms. We were told that the wired LAN connection was one of the key reasons they selected the system, as it best met their security requirements.
It was truly rewarding to see our products being used in such an important public institution.
After the exhibition closed, we attended a networking party organized for exhibitors. A buffet featuring traditional Polish food and drinks was served, and an awards ceremony recognized innovative products and outstanding exhibitors.
Once the awards ceremony ended, however, the atmosphere changed completely. The lights dimmed, music filled the hall, and exhibitors gathered in front of the stage to dance. It felt more like a club than a trade show—something rarely seen at exhibitions in Japan—and it gave us another opportunity to experience the differences in culture. It was certainly an unforgettable two days.
I joined this trip as a member of the team responsible for designing the exhibition panels, hoping to learn more about booth layouts and presentation styles used at overseas exhibitions.
One of the biggest lessons I learned from LABS EXPO was that an exhibition is not simply a place to explain products—it is a place where visitors actively seek information, ask questions, and deepen their understanding through conversation and hands-on experience.
As T&D continues to expand its presence at international exhibitions, I hope to apply what I learned by creating booth displays and panel designs that encourage visitors to stop, spark their curiosity, and help them better understand our products and solutions.
